School-based assessments for children and adolescents are available in Melbourne. Adult assessments that include cognitive and learning components are conducted in-person at private, quiet community venues across Melbourne. Online assessments are available Australia-wide for selected adult assessment types that do not require cognitive or academic testing.
Included: Intake interview, psychometric testing, diagnostic interviews, scoring and interpretation, comprehensive written report, summary letter and feedback session.
Review of the referral and preliminary information to determine the most appropriate assessment. Completed online at time of booking.
Discussion of presenting concerns, developmental history, and context. For children and adolescents this session is typically with parents/caregivers; for adults, with the client.
Completion of standardised forms and questionnaires tailored to the referral question. Usually completed online at your pace after the initial interview.
Structured clinical interviews using validated tools to clarify diagnoses taking approximantly 2-3 sessions. For children and adolescents, the interviews may involve the child and parents as appropriate; for adults, with the client.
Comprehensive report outlining findings, strengths, and practical recommendations. A summary letter is also provided for schools or workplaces.
Discussion of results and recommendations with the client (and caregivers if applicable).
